Svalbard offers one of the most accessible yet remote Arctic experiences. Cruises typically depart from Longyearbyen, with some itineraries including charter flights from Oslo. Over 8 to 12 days, you'll explore dramatic fjords, towering glaciers, and expansive sea ice. This region is renowned for its rich wildlife, including polar bears, walruses, Arctic foxes, reindeer, and a variety of seabirds. Daily excursions by Zodiac and guided hikes provide intimate encounters with this pristine environment. The Midnight Sun during summer months offers extended daylight, enhancing wildlife viewing and photography opportunities.
Arrive in Longyearbyen, the northernmost town in the world. Enjoy time to explore the colorful town before boarding your expedition vessel in the afternoon. After embarkation, the ship sails out through Isfjorden and into the vast wilderness of the Svalbard archipelago.
Spend your days exploring the rugged coastline and remote fjords of Spitsbergen. Activities include Zodiac cruises along glaciers, shore landings for guided hikes, and wildlife spotting—keep your eyes open for polar bears, walruses, Arctic foxes, and reindeer. Depending on ice conditions, you may visit sites like the Lilliehöök Glacier, Kongsfjorden, or the historical whaling station at Smeerenburg.
Return to Longyearbyen for disembarkation. Transfer to the airport or spend extra time exploring the Arctic town before departure.

The newly refurbished Expedition is a classic polar vessel built for comfort, safety, and immersive exploration. With space for just 128 guests, this small ship allows for a more personal, community-focused experience and ensures everyone can participate in twice-daily landings (weather permitting).
Onboard, travelers will enjoy updated cabins with private bathrooms, cozy social areas, two jacuzzis, a gym, and a 24/7 beverage station. The ship’s high Ice Class 1A rating and upgraded stabilizers make for smooth sailing through icy waters, while its efficient, quieter engines help reduce environmental impact — so you can enjoy the sounds of nature while leaving a smaller footprint.
Perfectly sized for getting up close with the polar environment, the Expedition is your comfortable, adventure-ready for unforgettable journeys to the ends of the Earth.
