After seven years in Antarctic sales and multiple trips to the White Continent, Sarah continues to be fascinated by polar travel and calls Ushuaia her home. Sarah has helped more than 2,500 people travel to Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands and the Arctic. Her knowledge of each ship and itinerary lets her match clients with the best fit. Sarah has worked as an assistant expedition leader and zodiac driver aboard ships to Antarctica in 2012, gaining an in-depth understanding of the trips, logistics and details of what makes each experience special. She specializes group travel, as well as last minute sales in Ushuaia, working with people from all over the world and all walks of life to make their dream trips come true. On any given day, you can find Sarah out for a walk with toddler Lucas, running around town in her alma mater UNC-Chapel Hill t-shirt or down at the port visiting with passengers and crew.
It’s hard to find anyone in Ushuaia who doesn’t know Gabi. Founding Freestyle Hostel in 2005 andAlto Andino Hotel in 2007 with his family, Gabi has spent more than 20 years on Tierra del Fuego. He has worked in tourism and hotels on the island his entire adult life, except the years at university in Mar del Plata studying finance and accounting. Always sporting a smile, Gabi’s favorite part of the business is people– getting to know clients from all over the world– and sharing his home with them. Gabi is dedicated to operations and logistics in Ushuaia and specializes in giving you a personalized and in-depth experience while in Ushuaia, Patagonia and Antarctica. He has visited Antarctica multiple times aboard different ships, as well as sailing to Cape Horn & the Chilean fjords. Gabi is a licensed zodiac driver and a trilingual guide (Spanish, English & Portuguese). On the weekends, you can find Gabi coaching or playing rugby at a local club, or fly fishing with his friends in the mountains.
Marie has lived in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego for the last six years. Although she was born and raised in the Caribbean, with an opposite climate, the beauty of nature at these latitudes marvels her every time she goes for a trek. Marie has traveled to Antarctica and also sailed the Chilean Fjords, giving her first-hand experience aboard expedition vessels. She has worked in the Ushuaia tourism industry for the last few years and is always ready to help travelers who come this far to get to know our city and its surroundings. Marie is bilingual (English-Spanish) and will not hesitate to use her Italian and French when needed! Marie loves to go on hikes in her free time and practices Ashtanga yoga during the weekdays.
