Sea Kayaking
Wanting to take your Antarctica expedition to the next level? Try a kayaking experience on the Seventh Continent and enjoy the company of swimming penguins, seals and possibly whales while you glide through the majestic waters of the Southern Ocean. Sea kayaking is offered on most Antarctic voyages. Notice that spaces are limited and we strongly recommend that you have prior experience in a sea kayak or have taken an introductory sea kayaking course.
Frequency: highly weather-dependent: at least one outing during your voyage. Your kayak guides will always attempt to take you out as many times as possible throughout your voyage.
What do I need? All equipment provided
Experience: No experience required to participate in Basecamp voyages/ Experience required for non-basecamp outings
Period: November- March
SPECIAL NOTES: Open waters in South Georgia make kayaking more challenging compared to Antarctica and only experience kayakers recommended
