About the Iceland, Jan Mayen&Spitsbergen Itinerary

This unique voyage departs from Reykjavík, Iceland and finishes in Longyearbyen, Norway. We will explore the scenic Westfjords of Iceland and call at the historic port of Ísafjörður. We then cross the Arctic Circle on our way to the seldom visited island of Jan Mayen. We continue to Spitsbergen in the renowned High Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. We explore the fjords on the west side of the island in search of polar bears and other iconic wildlife. This trip combines stunning wildlife, landscape and historical places.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Reykjavik


The capital of Iceland has a lot to offer- make the most of this quaint city, its museums, shops and sea side walk way.


Day 2: Embarkation

Embark your vessel and sail away.


Day 3-4: Explore the Westfjords and Grimsey Island

You will fall in love with those remote and less visited areas of Iceland.


Day 5: Visit Jan Mayen Island


A remote Norwegian island, very few people have the opportunity to visit it!


Day 6: At sea

Take this opportunity to watch for whales, attend lectures, sort out your photos or simply catch up on sleep!


Day 7-12: Explore the west coast Spitsbergen


Be on the look out for wildlife, visit trappers’ hut and historical sites!


Day 13: Longyearbyen


Disembark in Longyearbyen. Don’t forget to visit the Svalbard museum!
